Marshall 9000 Schematics
The 9000 serie 19″ rackmount amps were first introduced in 1989.
9001 Pre Amp
The 9001 pre amp was in production from 1989 upto 1993. It was a 3 channel pre amp containing three ECC83 / 12AX7 tubes.

9004 Pre Amp
The 9004 was in production from 1990 upto 1993. It was a 2 channel solid state stereo pre amp. The front panel of these preamps started out in black, but later on it was manufactured in the well known gold brushed aluminium, probably to match the 9100 and 9200 power amps.

9005 Power Amp, 2x 50W
The 9005 is a 2 channel power amp. It’s 4 rack units high.

9040 Power Amp, 2x 200W
The 9040 was a big stereo 2x 200W MOSFET power amp, primarily meant for use with the 9001 and 9004 preamps.

9060 Power Amp, 2x 300W
The 9060 was a big stereo 2x 300W MOSFET power amp, primarily meant for use with the 9001 and 9004 preamps.

9100 Power Amp, 2x 50W
The 9100 is the successor of the original 9005 amp. It was introduced in 1993.
These amps were originally designed for EL34’s, but due to the EL34 crisis of the time they were fitted with the Sovtek 5881s. Beware when replacing the original Sovtek 5881 tubes with EL34 tubes as these amps are only 3 rack units high. The Svetlana EL34 and JJ EL34 don’t fit physically, as they are too high! The Svetlana 6L6GC does (just) fit, but the JJ 6L6GC does not. EL34s can be made to fit, but will require lowering the tube tray on which the EL34 tube sockets are fitted.

9200 Power Amp, 2x 100W
The 9200 is the 2x 100W version of the 9100 amp. It was introduced in 1993.
These amps were originally designed for EL34’s, but due to the EL34 crisis of the time they were fitted with the Sovtek 5881s.
